Bio
Semi-Finalist in American Songwriter’s 2023 Song Contest
Tony Salomone employs a classic style of songwriting woven into an eclectic blend of energetic Alt Rock and heartfelt piano-driven Soul, reminiscent of Arctic Monkeys, Royal Blood and Muse with echoes of Queen and The Beatles.
Growing up in Columbus, Ohio, Tony began his musical journey at age 5 playing piano in his local church. In his teenage years he developed an obsession with electric guitar, songwriting and singing, leading to the formation of his first band at age 13. Tony later joined the California rock/pop outfit Ki in San Diego, garnering much regional recognition in Southern California. The group went on to win San Diego’s Best Pop Act and Best New Artist, as well as Honorable Mention in the International Songwriting Competition for their song ‘As Long As I’ve Got You’, leading to a slew of sold out SXSW performances as well as being the supporting act for KISS and Extreme on the KISS KRUISE.
Tony has since moved to Nashville in 2021 to begin a new era in his musical journey and formed his explosive Rock/Soul group 'Blue House Band' with some of Nashville’s top musicians.
His debut Album “Dreams” is a colorful, unapologetic and imaginative expression of the struggles of balancing the ego with the higher self, and attempting to turn the chaotic moments of life into harmony. Filled with shots of adrenaline, dramatic dynamics and heart-pumping, heart-breaking emotion, Tony’s careful songwriting and polished productions leave nothing to be desired. The first half of this album was released as the EP “Free”, illustrating the dark side of this struggle, through party rock anthems, classic melodies and soul-satisfying guitar riffs. His explosive debut EP was released in 2023 earning Tony national recognition as a Semi-Finalist in the American Songwriter’s 2023 Song Contest for his song “Free”.
